SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKERS
DR. SINEAD KANE
Double Guinness World Record holder, Visually Impaired Athlete, & Double PhD doctorate, Qualified Lawyer.
Sinead doesn’t let her disability hold her back and is living life to the full. Within a three month period Sinead Kane was awarded two PhD doctorates.
Sinead is a double Guinness World Record Holder. In February 2018, she broke the Guinness World Record for furthest distance for a female on a treadmill in 12 hours, covering 130.5km.
Sinead also holds a World Record as the first blind person to complete a Marathon on all seven Continents. Sinead came joint-first in her marathon in Dubai. This is all remarkable given that Sinead only did her first marathon in October 2014 and only took up running in 2012.
These achievements are admirable but are even more so considering that Sinead only has 5% vision and is registered as legally blind. Sinead has overcome a lot of adversity throughout her life. She advocates to remove barriers in society that impact disabled people to create meaningful change. Within many areas she has challenged many discriminatory policies and has successfully achieved changes. Sinead wants to empower others to use their voice to impact change within communities through sharing her story and lessons learned. Sinead proves how those who persist in spite of a disability can develop resilience, determination, motivation, and creativity.
SPECIAL GUEST
Senior Leader, UK Home Office
Borders represent a key intervention opportunity against serious and organised crime threats. Intelligence and information sharing partnerships with both domestic and global counterparts are symbiotic components of an effective full system response. Ensuring that a border both receives and shares information is critical to delivering a mutually productive process that both feeds and support both disruptions and investigations. Whilst detecting criminal threats at the point of entry into the UK is a critical component of the UK law enforcement response, it is recognised that the impact across the transnational criminal value chain is usually limited to OCG related activity that would have otherwise occurred after a successful border penetration (but not before).
Our special guest's experience spans large-scale border modernisation projects, international diplomacy, and intelligence-led operations.

WHAT OTHERS SAY ABOUT OUR MEETINGS
“Thanks again for inviting me, it was great attending to meet colleagues from other industries and to chat about common challenges. Will definitely join next time and would maybe bring my logistic colleagues…liked the setting with small groups & round tables, great program as well location and catering.”
CM, Campari Group
“Am so pleased I managed to finally make one of your events. I found it really useful, and refreshingly different from other ones I’ve attended. I liked the roundtable style – interesting, beneficial, allowed for more brainstorming and gave much greater food for thought to take back to our day to day businesses. Excellent, engaging, entertaining speakers and subjects that help break up the ‘supply chain’ element of the day but give you more strategic business perspective considerations.
NM, Zonal
"Thank you very much for hosting a great session last week. A really great opportunity to have some round table discussions on topics front of mind, to get different perspectives and hear experience of deploying different technologies. The guest speakers were excellent too, good to break the day up with some completely different topics."
